How to Download and Install a Weight-By-Date Pro Update

 

Click here when you're ready to return to the Updates page.

  1. Enter your last name and e-mail address into the fields provided on the Updates page.

  2. Select the version that you want to update to.  In this example you will see how to update to version 2.8. To do this, you would choose the "Update to Version 2.8" option.

  3. Click the "Download Now" button. It may take a moment for the download to actually begin, depending on the speed of your internet connection.

  4. Your web browser may ask whether you want to run the file or save it. Choose the "save" option and save the file somewhere on your computer's hard drive.  Be sure to remember where you saved the file.
     

    You will see something similar to this if you use Internet Explorer.
    With other web browsers, such as Netscape, you will likely get a similar
    message with "Save" and "Run" (or "Open") options.  Choose "Save".
     
     
     
  5. IMPORTANT: DO NOT save the update into your " C:\Program Files\Weight By Date Pro" folder.  Instead, save the update somewhere else, such as the "My Documents" folder or your desktop.
     
  6. In this example, the file you are downloading is named "pro_u28.exe". Once the download is complete, go to the directory where you saved the file and double-click on it to begin the installation.

  7. You'll be walked through the installation process by the software.  It's similar to when you installed it for the first time, except that your previous data will still be in the program.

  8. Once the update is installed, you can delete the "pro_u28.exe" file if you like.
